William Paley
William Paley was born in in July 1743, in Peterborough, England. He trained for the Anglican priesthood, graduating from Christ's College, Cambridge in 1763.
He was a great believer in creationism, and saw the complexity of nature as proof of an intelligent creator (a God). He said that all species were created by God, and therefore would not change.
He died in 1805.
